Industrial grade diamond is very expensive. The performance of a diamond blade depends mostly on the
quality and total amount of diamond used in the manufacturing. By adding more or better quality diamond
the user will generally obtain a lower cutting cost. A blade that costs 15% more will often give 50%
more life at a faster cutting speed. For smaller jobs or occasional use a lower priced blade may be
suitable. For larger jobs or frequent use the higher priced blade will actually be less expensive to use,
when measuring the cost per cut.
